Unhappy

SaltCreep, heres a link to one of my tank pics courtesy of Raszagil, who geciously posted and linked it. Unfortunatly it shows just part of the tank which is a short wide 55g at the time. I now have a 75 I am moving into. If money wasn't tight I would have gone for the 120 but the 75 was $125 and the 120 pushed $300 hard. I didn't want to sink a lot in a transitional tank as I plan on a 180 or so in the wall setup in the next couple of years, moving the 75 into my puter room
If you can possibbly swing it go for the 120 the 2x4 footprint is easier to aquaascape unless you are into vertical rock walls. A 90 was never a factor as its a 2' tall version of the 75 and I didnt think the extra couple inches in ht. was worth the $ increase plus upgrading to brighter lights.
So the key points are more room and bigger footprint, its drilled for 2 1" drains which will drain a lot of water compared to hangon overflow, all the lighting and stuff I have now will work on it OK.
If the money was there and I was startin from scratch the 120 would be a better choice
It really boils down to what your near and long term goals are. Rememeber the tank is the cheapest part of the equation, FWIW
I guess the link would help, huh http://www.thereeftank.com/ubb/Forum1/HTML/001015.html

Hi Salt Creep,

Here is a pic of my 120. I know the pic doesn't show much but if you have any questions then fire away. I moved to the 120 from a 55 and that was a big change for me. I have about 170# of LR but it could easily accomodate more. The nicest thing was all the extra room in the stand for a sump, although I plan to move the sump the garage this winter.
