Bulbs not firing - M57 ballast

I recieved my 175w Iwasaki 15k's from hellolights this past Friday and put them in this afternoon. However, they won't fire although the specs clearly state they are M57 compatible.

What's wierd is i'm using a duel 175 ballast and old bulbs work fine. However, when I put these new bulbs in and I turn on one switch nothing happens. But if I turn on both switches one of the bulbs will fire and the other does nothing.

Anyone ever have this happen to them? I also put new mogul sockets into my canopy and tested everything out with old bulbs before installing the new bulbs and firing everything up. As I stated the old bulbs worked fine on test.

I can't seem to figure this out. The ballast I'm using is a 2x175w Custom Sealife which was brand new and had never been used until this past week to fire up the old bulbs as I was upgrading from T5's to MH.

hmmmmmm......
perplexed.

leave it on for about 20 minutes. takes new mh bulbs a while to fire sometimes. if this doesn't work switch places with the bulb that fires and the one that doesn't and see what happens.

Thanks for the info, I'll test this tomorrow after work. I've gone ahead and ordered 2 ARO 150/175 electronic ballasts anyways because I've already annoyed at the buzzing from the magnetic one I have.

However, I'm still going to test this out to see if it works or not. If it does then I have a good backup ballast still.

Thanks again.
