Bubble Tip Health

My bubble tip disappeared for a month or so, then I finally found it behind a rock. It's been looking pretty unhealthy for a while and I was wondering if it will regenerate or eventually completely die.

they can come back,
but they do need good lighting, and great water. they dont need direct feeding, but that does not hurt either.
tell us a little about your set up

It's a 29g with 175w 14k mh and 130w pc actinic. I have a carpet in the tank that is doing really well along with some sps and lps and a clam. The only one not doing well is the bubble tip since it was out of the light for so long.

It can move its self to the light if need be. There's another issue with him somewhere. Not sure what it would be though. How's water quality??

Sounds like enough light,.. Care to give us some details on your filtration?

Sometimes BTA's can be not too smart and walk off someplace and stay there when they clearly can't survive. They will also sometimes move into the shadows to split. I definitally reccomend feeding to try and nurse it back to health, my anonimies always loved misys.

SG - 1.026
Ph - 8.1
Alk - 9.8 dKH
Nitrate - 5ppm
Nitrite - 0ppm
Amm - 0
Phos - .5ppm
Ca - 450ppm

I have a fluval canister filter along with a HOB fuge with chaeto.

He's toward the front of the tank attached to a rock by his lonesome. There is nothing close to do any damage. He's shriveled up a little, but the stumps for tentacles are some nice bulbs.

He may recover. These guys do some wierd stuff. I would be doing supplemental feedings though. That will help at the moment.

Yeah, the carpet will eat whole silversides and the BTA is only big enough to eat a head. But now it's so small I can probably only feed it an eye

The bulbs were all replaced a month ago.
