Brown Spots on Bubble Coral

It had been a few weeks since I spotted brown spots on my bubble coral. The brown spots have been increasing days to days. All the water parameters seem to be constant except NO3 ranges normally around 30-50ppm. The bubble will still take food but seem like not expanding as much as previous; probably 20% less. Other Invert in my tank seem normal.

Any idea what's the problem ?

Could be Brown Jelly Diease. Keep an eye on it. Change H20 Often and search for info on that diease.

You can use Tech D (don't quote me) which is a coral dip that help corals with Infections.

If your N03 is that high I would guess that is a big part of the stress.

Any increase in lighting lately? My bubble gets brown spots inside once in a while just before it spits alge out. Every couple of weeks it does this.

Good luck

I think CA is around 450. Never test for Alk.
About 6 weeks back changed 2x 15w Actinic & 3x 18w 10K with
1x 15w Actinic & 4x 24w 10k PL.
