My skimmer is always running as wet as it gets.

I had cyano for sure on my sandbed and rocks.. it was red and then got stringy after a while.. rather then using chemicals to treat it I am trying to optimize flow my moving my sump return to jet in the deepest corner of my LR structure and improving the rest of my flow with new pumps and better placement of them.. so far so good.. plus I do like to run my skimmer wet, but it seems like the pump is going out on it.. I have cleaned it several times but it doesn't start all the time.. and seems less poweful then it was intially. But I think I want a more powerful skimmer for my setup anyways... so thinking of this one. I have a EuroReef CS80 now (for about 90gal of water tank + sump).. just doesn't seem to be powerful enouugh.. like I am just barely dealing with the bio load and any fluctuations cause issues.. anyways.. we'll see how it goes.
