As far as I know southdown isn't available in the twin cities. It might be available in Rochester. I don't really like the southdown...just my personal opinion.

Hamburglar helped me find the sand in my area. The whole trick to getting it is to use the SKU#. They are national. If you go to the HD and give them the SKU# then they can at least look it up for you. You may have to order a pallet of it buy you can get it.

The sku# is 578819

They can also tell you if another store in the area has it. Somebody else may have ordered some for their 1000G reef.lol.

Hope this helps,

G~

You don't need all live sand. Check out http://www.purearagonite.com They have excellent prices on bags of sand.

Otherwise you can find Carib Sea aragonite and their smaller oolitic grain sand mail order or locally.

Good luck!

Thanks for the sku #. My local H.D. tells me they can get it for 6.99 a bag but you need to buy a skid of 56 bags, LOL.
