Bristle worm goo?

The other night, one of my insanely-large BW's stuck his end up in the air and ejected a GALLON of pink 'dust'...it was wild!!! My question is: Was this poo or was this spawning?

When I say a gallon, I am only exaggerating by a tiny bit
