Blennies

Is there any specific books/website/etc. that you can see pictures of the different species of blennies?

I'm trying to replace the blennie I lost several months ago, and I can't seem to find a picture that describes/looks like the one I had...it was had a dark-pinkish sort of head and a dark purplish color body, great facial expression--very cute, stayed mostly in the rocks except during feeding time then it darted out and swam around a bit. It was very territorial about it's "rock."

Any help is appreciated--I've searched through several on-line shops...no luck. I thought due to the two colors it might be a bi-color--but most pictures I've seen the colors are way off...

OK...so I'm picky...

try www.fishbase.org - that's the most extensive site with pictures I can think of. It might take you awhile to wade through it all, though.

Good luck,
Danielle

funny and animated critters.
Try this link:

Thanks guys...I think I found it! Smooth Fin Blenny (Ecsenis Frontalis)...closest to it anyway.

Thanks again for the help!
