Blackcap Basslet

I recently purchased one from my lfs. It's doing very well so far, eats like a pig when I feed.
My question is, will he always be a chicken? I hardly see him in the tank except feeding time. And he is also the only fish in my tank so far.

Hard to say...each fish has its own personality. I'd wait a few more weeks to make a determination of whether he is shy or not.

Certainly a beautiful fish!

i believe they are pretty good fish, probably just takes time, and there are always exceptions, so you might never see him. time will tell.

they are a lot more shy than thier bicoloured siblings. they tend to be from deeper water and hide in the rockwork a bit more. you may seldom see it except around feeding time. hard to tell, each fish is a bit different.
