black overflow box

Hi All,

I'm looking to start up a new 75gal reef tank. found a place where I can buy a predrilled tank but not sure where I can buy the black overflow piece to silicone in.

Can anyone help?

you can always make one by just painting some acrylic black and heavy sillyconing it to the tank walls. you can also use PVC to make one.

Does the vendor who sells the pre-drilled tank not sell the overflow?

Typically a factory drilled tank comes with the overflow installed. If it's drilled after-market, they're only doing half the job if there's no overflow installed.

Thanks for the Welcome! I'm so glad I found this site! I used to have a thriving reef tank about 10 years ago. I've wanted to get back into it but apparently some things have changed. We have better lighting now, protein skimmers, etc.

I'm open to suggestions on brands.
I'd like to go t5 on the lights.
Not sure on brand for skimmer though.

Also, is going bare bottom the preferred way now?
