Black and White Perdula Clown Help

Hi Everyone,

I have a recently, 1 week, introduced black and white percula clown in my tank and this morning I notice it was hanging out in the top left corner of my tank. He is breathing rather quickly and will not swim around the tank with the other fish. When I looked closer, it appears as if he has a scratch mark on his side. So maybe he was attacked by another tank mate.

My question is this. Should I leave him in the tank and will he heal or what?

Help!

Thanks everyone for your input.

Powder brown tang, yellow tang, percula clown, blue damsel, manderine gobie, and purple psuedocroma.

Tank is 5 months old and water quality is good.

Well it may be a problem with tankmates, Size of them and size of tank. It really sounds like it is being beat up on. How large of tank? Size of the Fish. And size of the other Clown, That may be the one.

tank is 125 and plenty of room to hide. The percula was in the same tank at the pet store and they seem to get along fine. I think you might be right regarding the tank mates.

I guess my question was more along the lines of, can fish recover from fights and is it okay to leave him in the tank?

Should I do anything other than keeping an eye on him?

Keep an eye on him and make sure he is eatting. You may have to pull him out. But give it some time.
