bicolor pseudochromis v grama basslet

What are your experiences with these fish?

If you wanted one or the other which one would you choose and why?

I really like the look of these fish and want one when i start adding to my tank, they both appeal to me as they dont grow too big

would love to hear any comments about either fish good or bad

Matt

I'm a huge fan of royal grammas
Mine lives with a 4line wrasse
there is hardly any aggressiveness
just the gramma chasing the wrasse away from his cave every now and again
but never any attack on each other

I don't have any experience with the gramma, but in my opinion, the pseudochromis has a great personality. Mine is always digging out a little home for himself somewhere. He grabs huge mouthfuls of sand and spits them out everywhere. He 's very responsive too. He is my tank favorite.

Pseudos are cool, but I'd go with the gramma if your just looking at for those two colors. Pseudochromis are quite aggressive, not to be trusted with shrimp.

I like the neon pseudo myself.

I have a bicolor pseudo aka dottyback and he was a great fish for the year Ive had him, then I added a 6 line wrasse and he almost killed it, literally biting at the tailfins till he shredded them....since then hes been a jerk to the clowns in my tank, even though theyve been friends for months now....im getting rid of him in the morning so I can put the 6 line back in the tank. pound for pound the most aggressive fish ever.

go with the Royal Gramma. Pseudo's are viscious to everyone.

i remember when Psuedo's first hit the market, they were touted as the greatest reef fish ever. beautifull and reef safe. this was true as long as they were the only fish in the tank. i put them right there along with damsels as mean motors.

G~
