bicolor angel

anybody ever kept a bicolor angel before? i bought one last week that is doing well. the problem is that it never eats any frozen or flake food. it constantly picks and doesn't look hungry, i'm afraid that over time it will starve. any advice? this is the first one i've tried in about ten years. i quit buying them after i found out they were caught with cyanide. from what i've read they are net caught now. the fact that this one has done so well makes me think this is true. now i just want it to eat some sort of prepared food.

i've got lots o fmacro in my display and i run a 30 long that is full of several varieties. i just added a new piece of rock encrusted in what i think is red kelp. my scopas and scribbled rabbit are loving it. angel and regal haven't looked twice. yeah, i never keptone for more than maybe three days before this one. it seems to be doing ok picking rocks and sides of the tank for now. i may try live brine shrimp next.

I notice that a lot with dwarf angels (or at least those that I've tried to keep). Ultimately, if it's not eating flake you may be in trouble. I'd recommend getting some of the frozen angel food, soak it in garlic, and try to entice the fish. It may be that it has an internal probelm (due to parasite, capturing techniques, or just mental block... lets hope for the last one!).

I had one that only died when my 125gal exploded. Any way he did not eat at first then slowly started eating frozen food and nori . he never bothered my SLP or softy's. I know most people say dwarf angels are evil but at the time i did not know better i had a bicolor and a flame. and both behaved never picket at anything not even polyps, for over a year.

you know, i've always kept dwarf angels and have never had problems with picking. then again, i feed a lot as far as reef tanks go. so you kept a bicolor with a flame? good, i've seen it done and have been thinking about trying it. oh, the fish is at least looking at frozen food now. i think it is just a matter of time.
