best place to buy live rock online??
Hello, I am looking to purchase some live rock for my my 80gal that I just bought. I dont really care if the rock is cured or not since this is a new setup but I dont want to buy rock from one of those warehouse places that leaves there rock in the box until it sells. I am looking for about 50-80#s. The cheaper the better. Any help will be greatly apreciated!!!!!!!

There are a few sponsors that sell rock. I got mine from Premium Aquatics.
Watch out for shipping charges and make sure they charge only for the weight of the rock.
There are a bunch of threads on this, but my Fiji was great and was pretty easy to cure. Also, they have good advice on how to cure it on the site.
There is another place in Florida that has rock with amazing growth that is cured with stuff all over it. One of our fellow reefers needs to jog my aged memory on this one.

Not sure I would get anything from Dr. Smith et al. that was live. I have seen some bad experiences posted.
Check out Premium Aquatics, or call Reefermadness.com. I am getting a shipment from them tomorrow of 2 boxes of ultra fiji and then 1 box of tonga branch and a few pieces of tonga slab next tuesday.
I considered the florida rock but decided against it for two reasons, hitchhikers are more likely and Spanky said to buy elsewhere. The reason is Phos release from the rock itself. For the price you can get quality stuff that is real.

I am about to buy and I am leaning toward Premium Aquatics. Any good/bad feedback would be great to hear.

I wonder if she's got any gear or critters she needs to unload. I'm planning on setting up a 75 next month.

I don't recommend liveAquaria.com or eTroipcals (Drs.). I'm sure they leavce the rock in the box until they ship it. The rock i got from them must have been REALLY nice when they got it, but was only ok when I got it. Good rock, lot's of colors, but it was dying. Took forever to cure and there's not a sign of life on it now.
