Best Long Hair Algae Eater?
What is the best long hair algae eater out there? I have heard scarlet hermits and turbo snails. Is there anything else and are these even good?
Thanks,
Brian

Physical removal is always best. Alage eaters definitely help to keep algae under control, but even when you have good algae eaters, the stuff they eat has to end up somwhere

Long haired algae eater? Sounds like half of my moms hippie friends!
"like, Dude, did you, like, know that all the food that gets fed to like cows and stuff could feed, like, the whole world, for like, 10 years, or something. Try these seaweed crackers instead."
Scrubbing is probably the way to go. My LMB doesn't touch it, neither do my crabs. Haven't tried inviting my moms friends over yet, they might like it.

Rabbitfish (but they require a largish tank).

A lot faster and guarenteed to work. Unless you have underlying nutrient problems.

Agreed this is probably the best way. However if you want a natural solution the diadema long spined urchin would be worth a shot. They will eat any type of algae including coraline, and will strip your rock bare.
