Question

Best coral ID site ?

Looking for the best coral ID site, I got two new pieces and am having trouble with ID. These two came on a good piece of rubble together, one is a Tubastraea, very nicley colored and opens fully with bright orange/ red polyps. The other which I thought was Dendrophyllia may not be. It has long bright yellow tubular structures and yellow/orange polyps that also open daily. It has encrusted the rock it is on, even though the "tubes" are approx 1/2" apart. I know I should post a pic or two, but no digital here at home. Anyway let me know a site if you know one. Thanks.

Vernon's "Corals of the World" is supposed to be THE book.

Here's a good one:

Most of the pics are Veron's work if I'm not mistaken.
The search function seems to be broken - regardless of what you sort, all species are displayed. They are alphabetical, though and you can kill alot of time here...

HTH!

Thanks for the help, I will check it out. And killing time is why I have a reef tank anyway.
