Best blenny for my 29?

Any opinions on the best blenny for a small tank? Want a bottom dweller, and these seem to be the best, reef safe species.

Thanks in advance,
Dustin

Hey Dustin, my personal favorite is the Bicolor Blenny. I love how they back there ways into holes/crevaces like a car....not sure though as to if they're considered a bottom dweller. HTH

I love Bi-Colors, although they are more of a midtank percher, I guess. You might try a sailfin blenny or lawnmower blenny. Lawnmowers can get pretty big though!

You might try for a Yellow or Pink-Spotted Watchman Goby; they are pretty much bottom dwellers but aren't digging fools like Banded or Diamond Gobies.

Stay away from Scooter Blennies; really neat fish, especially the red ones but they are really in the "dragonette" class and like Mandarins have dietary needs that necessitate a large tank with lots of live rock or a fully stocked refugium for the big 'pod populations.

HTH,

Alice

FWIW, my Canary Blenny is a pretty cool fish. I wouldn't say he is a bottom dweller, but he usually stays in the bottom half of the tank, usually on or around the LR. He will however, eat various pods and worms he can find, but thats why I have a refugium
