battery backup!?!?
Im considering getting some kind of battery back up but have no clue about what im doing, or where/what to buy, can I have some help please.What do you guys use for Battery back up?? And What are the consequences of not having any form of it?? Thx

I would think a backup generator would be cheaper... anyone?

You can set up a back up generator and all parts required to jump online and also run some lights in the house as well as a coupla fish tanks (lights everything) should your power go ouot for $7-900. Thats next on my project list.

is there anything cheaper than that so my stuff doesnt die during a power outage. Im only 17, Already spent 1grand on my 30g, so by buget calls for something a little less expensive, know what I mean.

look into getting a cheap UPS and just plugging the power heads into it.

For $40K you can get a Weekend Warrior RV like mine with a 5500 watt generator included. If your power goes out you could run a few tanks with that, a TV, refrigerator, cook, wash your bikes and everything. I might even setup a 100g in there to take with me camping.

For about 1/2 that you can have a system that automatically switch to gen. when the power kicks out.

If you really want to save some money, just keep a broom stick near the tank. If the power goes out, stir it up with the stick.
