bamboo shark egg

I was at the store today and saw a bamboo shark egg for 20$. Is there anything I would have to do to hatch it. Or do i just sit it in the tank and wait for it to pop out.

I don't believe there is anything special you do but they do not all hatch. A shark requires a relatively large tank with special accomodations. I don't know too many specifics besides large footprint and soft substrate.

Did I ever tell you about the time Brasky went hunting? Well anyway, Brasky decides he's gonna hunt down all four members of the Banana Splits. He stalks and kills every one of them with a machete. They all beg for their lives, except Fleagul.

just let is sit there. Those guys get about 4 ft long. You need a fairly large tank for them. Maybe 120g or so.

I have a 125g its way to small but by the time its big enough i hope to have a bigger tank. As soon as i find somewhere thats sells them all i find are 210g.
I am going to try it I think see what happens.

A 4 foot shark will not do well in a 6 foot tank. I would be thinking to be remotely fair to a 4 foot creature you would need to be looking more in the 10' x 10' range, JMO, I'm no shark keeper.

A 210 won't cut it either, the dimensions are wrong. Other than Perfecto's Deep Dimension tanks that are 3ft wide there are no really good sized standard tanks available for sharks. Think custom and large surface area, maybe 6 or 8 ft long and 3 to 4 ft wide or larger. Height isn't as important as length and width are. A 3 to 4 foot long shark needs room to move and should be able to turn around without having to struggle.

Really in sharktank dimensions custom is the way to go. Since they are shallow and generally more of a looking down into rather than looking into from the side plywood tanks are a viable option. Not as snazzy as a acrylic tank but you are talking major cash flow there.

I am trying to find a good way to make a plywood tank. Not to good of luck yet though. That will be a cheaper way and i can build it that way i would like. But if you guys can help with a new or used tank please let me know.
