Bad, Bad, Bad acrylic tank
So some of you remember my famous bouncing hex tank. I put it back to use again after fixing the seam. I used some glue the LFS suggested, used a vice thing, and got it sealed good.
After it dried I filled it with water and let it sit for a month and it NEVER leaked - I filled it with sand, and salt water with intentions of it just being a stand alone refugium not connected to either system. It sat filled an additional month with no problems.
Well now it has soaked my floor, such a nice thing to wander across at 6 in the morning. I cant find a seam that is leaking and one thing is for sure - that is the old spot is not leaking its someplace brand spanking new.
Acrylic tanks bite the big one. Should I just give up and pitch the thing?? I have NEVER EVER EVER had problems with a glass tank. GRRRRRRR
Should i just use the glue and reinforce the whole thing wherever seams are? I mean the only seams below water is the one down the side and the one where the bottom attaches. The bottom seams are my suspicion, but I dont see anything and am not sure how to find it.
