Baby Snails

Does anyone have a picture of baby astrea snails? I think I have over 50 in my tank right now but they are too small to get a picture of. They have been in the tank for at least a month, just never new what they were until one was on the glass.

baby astreas look like bigger astreas only smaller. my guess is that they are not Astreas, they tend to be one of the harder snails to get breeding in the aquarium.

G~

The only snails I have in the tank are a lot of astreas and 4 turbos. They look nothing like the turbo snails but they look as if they have a cone shaped shell on the back.

what color are they? how big are they across?

I once thought I had baby snails...they were probably about 1-2mm across, with a spiral shell that was all white. They never got any bigger and I never figured out exactly what they were.

Thats about the same description. Some are bigger than others though and it seems as if they are growing. They seem white to tan in color.
Thanks

I have the same thing. See them mostly at night. I took some to the LFS. The guy that owns the place is pretty sharp, said they were snails but just some wierd kind. Said they are pretty coomon in some live rock. Seems like the numbers kind of flex. Sometimes I see a lot, some times not.

that sounds to me like they are Collonista snails. heres a little info on them about 3/4 down. http://www.reefkeeping.com/issues/2004-05/rs/index.php they are good algae eaters, stay small, and are common hitchhiking snails.
