Baby Clown Fish - Day 19 - Pictures

Nineteen Days Old - 1/14/02

Most of the runts are gone. The tank has cycled. They are starting to get their yellow color. For the last few days have been eating only powdered food. Tried frozen baby brine shrimp for first time tonight.

I might add that we were gone for 4 days, and worried about the progress or problems that might have happened while they were with the house sitter. We didn't worry about our almost 19-year old son who is home from college, but left a message for her to call if anything happened to the fish! Now THAT is obsessive!

This one of the neatest parts of this hobby...helping create life.

Pat and I are debating as to the number. I think we started with about 75 and lost about 25 during metamorphosis. Pat thinks there are more. They move too fast to count. Maybe this week I will take a picture of the full tank and try to count them on the printed picture.

I don't know what I am going to do with them. If I tried to sell them and make money I would have to charge about $100 a piece to pay for my time, effort and out of pocket costs. I hope to take them to my LFS and trade for a bucket of salt or a piece of coral.

If anybody wants one or two and is within driving distance of Central Connecticut I would be happy to see them go in someone's tank.
