Correct... this was my fault for having too much water in the sump... I had been tinkering and accidentally had my ATO running and got about 3 gallons too much into the sump... Of course once it pumped the excess out onto my floor, the ATO kicked in trying to fix the low water level so it probably pitched in another gallon or so.
Overall it wasn't a nightmare, I have all tile so it came up easily.. just a crap way to wake up.. but hey once I was done I hit the P90x so it's all good.
In case you are interested, I was "playing" with pinching off my lines from my overflow with a pair of wood blocks and screws... This would cause the lines to be completely full of water all the way up to the siphon box... this made the entire overflow scheme work COMPLETELY silently... It ran perfectly all day under my watchful eye... all was in perfect harmony... when i say silent.. I mean jsut that.. SILENT.
That little POS got in the tube and caused a blockage... that upset the balance, level in the siphon box rose, level in overflow box rose, level in tank rose... SPLAT.
I would have been ok but when the water level got up over the filter sponges that little piece went in through the center . Perhaps I can go back to the pincher block and jsut put taller sponges on my overflow tubes.
I took off the pincher block for now ans also turned off my ATO to let some water evaporate.
