Asterina Star eating a Majano?!

Okay.
So I figured out I had a Majano as a HH and I decided to kill it as soon as I could.

Here's the Majano:

Then I made kalk paste and covered it up.
I let it sit for 15mins with no flow.
Then I turned on the flow and the paste blew off.
The Majano looked torn up and bitten.
Then I awhile later I went to go get a picture of it and there was a Asterina(sp?) Star forcing the center of it's body in the hole.
Here's a couple pictures of it:

Zoomed out:

The star setup there and was still there the next morning when I came in to get the picture.
I came home from school today and it finally moved.
The star was moved over a little and the anemone was completly gone!
Here's the picture (The star is circled in blue the hole where the Majano was is in red):

So what happened?
Did the Asterina(sp?) eat it?
Did it float away and the Asterina just take a little nap there?

If he did eat it, should I remove the star or be happy that it ate a pest anemone and keep it?

Is he a coral eater?
Or did he just eat it because the anemone was defenseless and a easy meal?

Any help would be appreciated!
Thank you ahead of time! ^.^

He probably ate it because it was dead.

Some asterina species DO eat corals, I've seen them particularly on zoanthids. Most are harmless.

So should I let him live and take the chance or pull it out and kill it?

You could add it to your or a friend's sump just in case anothe Manjao pops up and I agree it ate what was left for dead.

I agree that it ate it because the kalk paste did its job and killed it. That is a cream colored one and they are usually safe. The silvery gray ones are the kind that I have found wrapped around my zoanthid polyps and eating them. I would leave him in the tank.

Agree, I have seen them do the same thing. The Asterina spp. generally won't touch them until they are dead tissue. I have never witnessed them taking on ANY coral, but the reports still are out there.
