anyone know what type of dino it is ?

i have read that phosban/guard stuff can be bad if you don't use it right ...any recommendations ?

I would just skim wet, cut the lighting period, quit doing water changes and let it ride. If in a month it hasn't died back some, then I would look into po4 media and kalk additions to maintain pH over 8.4.

thats basically what i was doing except i started running carbon ...and just did a water change today of course because it did die back some ...but i didnt realize how bad it was till i did the WC ....i guess i ll just let it ride and hope it goes away ...pray for me

I didn't do a water change for 3 months. I moved all my corals to one end of the tank and only had the halides running for 2 hours a day and cut back the actinic lighting to 3.5 hours. It was almost gone at the end of three months as was completely gone in about 6 months.

LOL ...how encouraging
i just have some softies so i was only running the actinics for 5-8 hours a day and no 10000k' ...all t5's ...but then i brought them allback full time a few days ago and this is where im at now
