Question

Are macro algies pickey?


what i mean is about light do they prefer MH over PC but like VHO's better then MH?

Well counting most people just use cheap lights from home depot and do just fine, I think not. I have mine under a single 30w grow light, that I bought at K-mart for only $7 and all my macro is growing like crazy. I think as long as they have a normal amount of light they will grow.

i know that the red algaes like blue light, so i have a 50/50 actinic/6k bulb over my 10 fuge but my red was still growing before i added it, so....you get the picture
