Aquastik Epoxy Putty causing skimmer problems

Saturday morning I used AquaStik Epoxy Putty to hold my LR in place. The directions said that I may have to leave my skimmer off for 36 hours if I used very much. Well I used the whole tube and now 3 days later my skimmer is still foaming over. My other filters and pumps are running. Is there anything I can do other that just wait? I had just done a 40% water change before I used the epoxy.

Tank specs: 125 gallon, 125 lbs LR, Turboflotor 1000 Multi skimmer, Magnum 350 canister filter w/ new bag of Chemipure, 2 power heads, 1" CC, 400 watt heater.

Inhabitants: 1 snail, 2 hermit crabs

The tank has cycled but I am giving it a few more weeks to settle down before I start adding things.

You may want to do another water change,or leave the skimmer off untill things settle down. You can also shut off the air input to the skimmer till things clear.

yep, this is standard. i am going to mod my skimmer so that i have a secound adjustment valve on it just for this problem. when i use the epoxy i will turn this secound valve so that i do not mess up my main adjustment valve.

BTW- it will also go nuts if you are painting a room i your house.

I would definitely shut off the skimmer and any devices that would pull room air into the tank if you are going to paint, and keep the house well ventillated.
