I had an older model, the Aquacontroller. For the most part it worked good. It uses X-10 modules to turn on the various lights, pumps, etc. 90%of the time it worked as planned BUT every once in a while something would not turn on or shut off. I had mine for about 5-6 years and it worked pretty much flawlessly then it started to bug out. I don't know what happened because I never changed the program and the lights would start going on or off at weird times. Do a little research because some people have had major issues with problems like this and the last thing you want is a pump shutting off when you are not home. BTW, my issues were always with lights, not the pumps.

Some things I like most about it:

the feed mode. You can shut down all the pumps with one press of a button for feed time and don't have to remember to turn them back on.

Tank clock. You can move all of the time settings up or down by just changing the tank clock. Example would be when changing to daylight savings. Another good thing is when the power goes off, you don't have to reset a bunch of timers. With a battery back-up it picks up where it left off.
HTH, Bob
