Just got one today, set it up along with the pre skimmer box. So far nothinig has collected, any idea how long it will take probably? If anyone has one and has an apprx. break in period that would be great. Thanks,

Typical break in for max effeciency is about a week.

Plus depending on bio load will depend on how much skimmate as well.

Whenever you mold plastics there is mold release and goop on the plastic surface. You can minimize this by running it in a 5 gallon bucket of vinegar and water or just let it go then dial it in over the next couple of days. Salt water does a pretty good job of stripping this away fast.

Make sure your skimmer cup is adjusted properly...sometimes that will make it not skim.
Speaking of it not skimming...mine hasn't skimmed much lately. Almost nothing at all...is that good or is it malfunctioning?
Are there times when ya'll don't see your skimmers collect any gunk for a day or so?
