AquaC Remora HOB skimmer users chime in

I just installed my new Remora skimmer, and not only is it pretty loud, but it's not really making enough foam to come even close to the collection chamber. I mean, it's not even going up the tube at all. Am I missing something? I plugged the little hole on the Maxi-Jet..

The skimmer is pretty loud too.. any suggestions ??

What size pump are you running? I use pumps from 700 to 900 gph with mine and it's silent. I think you may be running a pump that's to small. Have you tried moving the rubber O ring higher on the collection cup?

I use to have the aqua C Pro.Let it break in(a couple days)Make sure the cup is all the way down(to get the most skimate).Mine wasn't to loud but when I bought the Coralive skimmer,it was so much quieter and work so much better.also make sure the plastic screw is in the injector!

well i'm getting skimmate now. it just works a lot slower than my DIY skimmer setup. I was able to take out my main powerhead though since the skimmer moves enough water with my 10g nano setup. I left the hole for the optional hose open so it's spraying a current across my tank. and seems to stir up the tank enough. it's not blowing my xenias sideways like just running a powerhead in the tank, but there's still enough circulation to send food in circles around the tank/rocks. If I could just reduce the noise i'd be set

I used a rio 1700 on mine. Obviously in a 10 gallon that would be overkill. With time you will tune out the noise, I did. Its much quieter then skimmers with needlewheels. I would try the filter floss like they said, that should help out a lot. Just make sure you keep hat spray nozzle clean, it makes all the difference in the world with performance.
