aqua c remora........

i had heard alot of good things about the aqua c remora hang on so i purchased one for my 29 gallon. I have mixed feelings about it....sometimes it seems to work ok and ohter times, no mater how low i adjust the cup, i do not get that much skimmate. I havwe the maxijet 1200 on it right now. I was wondering if i cuold upgrade to a mag 3 pump for the aqua c remora(it is the regualr one, not the remora pro). I clean the collection cup daily, and i also have tried to clean the intake and the maxi jet pump to better its pefpramnce but that hasnt seeemd to do much. any suggestions wuold help.....

For my Remora C Nano I put a 350gph pump on it (the MJ1200 does 295gph) and it now works great... I had to heat the tube end in boiling water so I could force it over the end of the pump... See if putting a bigger pump on it helps... The pump I used was one I had sitting around, an AquaClear70...
