aptasia killers


hey i didnt know where to post this but just some cool stuff i found. berghia nudibranch eat aptasia and they are tank rasied and bred in captivity. http://www.berghia.net/marketprice.html

Yep, that's correct.

The down side is they often get sucked into filters, and once you run out of aiptasia, you either need to rehome them to somebody with aiptasia, or they will starve.

Peppermint shrimp will also eat aiptasia, and once those are gone, they'll eat prepared foods and will scavenge.

im just looking for different things. i have probably 200 aptasia in my 29g. my pepermint shrimp do nothing and i cant inject them all.

Are you sure you have peppermint shrimp and not camel shrimp?

I put 8 pepps and a copper banded butterfly into a 100 g that was seriously infested, 3 weeks ago, and most of the aips are gone. We used Joe's Juice on the seriously large ones, but we saw a dramatic decrease in the numbers just with the natural predators alone.

Another few weeks and I anticipate they'll all be gone.

yea im sure it a pepermint. it sits behind his big rock right next to a bunch of aptasia and doesnt even touch it.
