aptasia cloud
I injected an aptasia today and a cloud of little ones went floating out of it! Dag burn it! I'm hoping they weren't ready to be released yet and won't take hold... Not my luck though...
Grrrrr

Someone mentioned the berghia nudibranchs being good for aptasia so I googled them... I think I'm going to get me some, they are quite cute looking (to me)

they are very cool looking nudibranchs, the only problem is, they will wipe your aptasia out, then starve to death, see if there are any locals around that also have aptasia, once yours is gone, sell the nudi's to them, and form a chain for everyone in your area to get rid of the stuff at once.

aren't they really small, and possibly impossible to fish out of your tank once they are in ?

I could be wrong...but i actually think that little cloud that shoots out of them when you get them good is a sign that you .....well...that you got them good, and not of babies flying out.

I ordered 2 berghia for my 55gal tank (soon to be a 125gal tank)... I'll let you know how they work... My goal was to buy enough to make a dent in the aiptasia but not totally erradicate them so the nudi's don't starve... We'll see if that works or not... I know the aiptasia will always come back so it's in my best interest to keep the nudi's alive...

those 2 will spawn a lot more, just so your aware. its my understanding that the berghia's reproduce quickly.

Maybe I'll be giving some away then (anyone want any if they spawn in my tank?) Just pay for shipping... Well, that will be in the future, we'll see what happens...

I will take one, whether the babies or when their food source is depleted! It is the beginning of the nudi coop!

... and you dont want that as when they die, they release enough toxins to wipe your tank out.

Ewwww no, really? Amazing how no-one puts that on their website! Maybe I'll start culturing some aiptasia to keep them alive!
