Anything Saltwater aka Gods Creations Under the Sea
I was fortunate enough to find this website. I've found very helpful information for my son's start up tank. Unfortunatley, I found it too late. I ordered a tank from Anything Saltwater. After reviewing the threads, my son was devestated to learn that he most likely lost all the money he worked so hard for. Being a typical mom, I've been emailing Anything Saltwater. No surprise, no response. I checked out the better business bureau and to found a second business this guy runs. Gods Creations Under the Sea. I filed a complaint for consumer fraud with the BBB of Northwest Florida.
I called him until he finally answered the phone (5 minutes). Supposably, the guy is giving my a refund. I won't hold my breath.
I plead with everyone that has been taken by this guy to file a complaint with the BBB Call the jerk. There is strength in a School!!!!
If anyone has a sucess story with this guy, please share. My son will probably not get his money back, but I can assure you, D. Chaney should not have made his mama mad.

I guess I used poor grammer!
Sorry, I was not specific. Poor grammer on my part. My son is the victim of this creep D. Chaney. I'm not Chaney's mother.
Since my original post, I did receive an email confirmation from Chaney with refund information. We'll wait and see.
I do have to say, I wish I would have stumbled on this site earlier. My son is starting a small reef tank. It looks like everything he needs to learn is here. Everyone seems very helpful.

Hopefully you get your money back and everything gets settled. I am going to delete some personal info in the original post to protect TRT from lawyers.

I know there is some money to be saved online but I strongly suggest that you buy everything you can at a LFS you can trust. Your money helps the city and contributes to your local economy.

Sorry to hear about your experience with that company.
I agree with austintatious, but dont believe everything your lfs tells you. If it sounds fishy (no pun intended) then ask us and we can help out. BUT even though some lfs try to sell you stuff you dont need.....I would find one you like, and buy everything from them thats within a decent price range. That will help you out when you need something, then you have a relationship with a good store. just my opinion. I buy almost everything from my lfs.......and they take care of me when I need help. If you have any questions ask away, everyone here is knowledgable and willing to help. PLUS, TRT is kid friendly. Your son can even learn with your permission.

help with Anything Saltwater
Hi
I just sent your son a private message, before I read this thread, on how to deal with this guy, or at least get the money back. Apparently you have already figured out who he is, got his number and reported him. I wish I had of found this site earlier too. Your right in not holding your breath for a refund, but maybe you have already had some luck. If not, Google online fraud and see if there is a police agency that deals with that in the US. We have filed a report on him in Canada. . File a reversal of charges application with your credit card holder. Takes time but it worked for us. Document all correspondence that you have had with him, and most importantly, spread the word!!!! I'm another angry Mom, I know just how you feel, except this time it was my husband that ordered, but I do have a son that would have. It ticks me off to no end that these guys exist and get away with it and are making money at it. Like you, being a Mom, knowing how hard these kids work for the money, for a hobby, much better than hangin' out on the corner or whatever, and then getting ripped off!!!!!!!!!! We have to stop him. There is strenght in numbers. Count me in!!!

Thanks for the support. We received the money back from Anything Saltwater. I filed a claim with the Florida Better Business Bureau, who did contact him with my complaint. I don't know if that's what did it, or my constant phone calls and emails to both of his companies. My son has a new tank (bought locally)and now he's constantly on this site requesting guidance from all you great folks. A lesson learned. I'll always buy locally.
