anyone using canisters on 65+

I have a fluval 304 which I was thinking of hooking up to my 65G so I can use active carbon etc, any thoughts?

Thanks

FWIW, i would sell that thing on ebay for whatever you can get for it, buy one of these and a few corals with whatever money is left over. This will run your carbon or phosban just fine. You can either buy a cheap $10-$12 pump to run it OR simply put a T in your return line with a 1/2" ball valve and run the cansiter filter off of your return pump.

Apples and oranges. ; )

Ative carbon can remove organic pollutants, color and odor from your water. Phosban simply can bind up some of the phosphates so you can remove it.

The same filter can run them both, just at different times. Its a HUGE conversation on how often you should run either if at all.

I use one on a 50 but I clean it every week.Or you'll have problems if you don't keep it clean.
