Anyone used Acrylite Abrasion Resistant Acrylic

I was looking around just for fun at acrylic sheeting to see how big I could make my dream tank (I have allways been a real dreamer) and I saw that US plastics now has "Abrasion resistant acrylic". And I got thinking that it would be kind of nice for a fish tank, you wouldnt have to be quite as carefull around the acrylic when cleaning or anything else that could potentially scratch a normal acryilic tank. This would thus lead to less scratches in the tank and a better looking tank overall. Now I dont know even if it would be tank safe for chemical reasons but I thought I would ask.

I doubt that the abrasion resistant coating would be harmful, but man its at twice as much , maybe just the front viewing panel, that might not be so bad

one thing to note too......is that the brand you linked is much cheaper than the equivelant in Spartech or even Plexiglas G which most of the higher end custom shops use. I looked around for a sec and both spartech and plexiglas G have abrasion resistant coatings available as well.

Im not familiar with it but I havent heard of any of the top custom shops using the abrasion resistant stuff. I imagine there is a reason for this....i just dont know it
