Anyone look at the tank one day and say "I hate my aquascaping"?

I was moving things today and I just have way too many new SPS' that I don't have the correct spaces for. My aquascaping was fine but now that the tank is filling up I need to redo it. good thing im moving in 5 weeks otherwise I would be redoing all the rockwork this weekend. I just wondered if anyone just looks at their tank and hates the way it looks even if everyone still thinks it looks great.

I get that sometimes
my tank is 30g so it only has 12'' depth to work with for aquascaping.
makes it hard to do much... I kinda like it now I have a few overhangs but lately I want to re do it completely!

Yeah I've had my upgrade tank for a month and have redone it 3 or 4 times... it is a PITA but I finally have it where I look at the tank and say 'wow that looks pretty good'. then I notice the algae...

Can I join too! I look at everyones' beautiful tanks and say, maybe a cave would help or maybe I need to open the rock work from front to back, or maybe both! Yeah, I move stuff around including corals that do great in a spot for a period of time then suddenly need more or less light (probably due to changing rockwork). Anyway, its getting there-at least it not a straight wall anymore!

I'm with Loverotties. If my tank's aquascaping has stayed the same for more than two or three weeks...I'd be amazed.

I have to say that once I have it set up. I won't move anything again, I really don't like messing with it. I may move a corals if I have to but never redo any rock.

Saw this thread b4, and just noticed you started it Tony,,,LOL
Don't worry you will be re-arranging more during the move,,,
I look at my reef tank, and always think of moving this, moving that.
The couple of times i needed to remove a certain fish, (or Emerald crabs) i had to remove most if, not close to all of the LR etc, in the tank, so i re-arranged the tank while doing this, and changed things around (like i could put everythnig back the way it was LOL)
and not that i'm taking some excess stuff to the LFs, i end up re-decc'ing the tank by doing so.
If i ever get my 200 up n running ,and move the 75 stuff into it, (i know,i know)
I'll have enuf room in the tank for a while probably, and end up having the 200 filled to the gills (pun intended) all over again, just hope it takes a while. i hate going to a shop, and not being able to get anything, due to no room in the tank .
most all my SPs are located on eggcrate suction cuped to the front glass, as i have not much room to put them in the display part.(Too many 'shrooms, and other things that will bother the SPS, hopefully one day that will change with the 200,,LOL
BTW: Tony, I'm busy whatever day you are moving,,,LOL, My moving days are long over, this ol bod can't ever imaging doing that ever again,,,but i can be a great supervisor/whip cracker, if you need one,,,,

Sadly, I am afflicted with handinthetankitis. I have a medical reason why I must rearrange my rock on a weekly basis. My wife has been trying a new medication, losemyfishallowancezide, to help with my situation. This has worked to some small degree.

This disease is growing in ever increasing numbers.....can't someone just care?

Tank design

When ever I look at my tank and think "I hate my aquascaping" I call my interior aqua designer. She has been featured in "Aquascape Digest" and knows just what patterns of fish and coral go well together. Sometimes she re-arranges things in the most spectacular of ways.

Cheers,
J

I look at my tank everyday and think "I need to add some more LR, rearrange that side, blah blah blah" then i remember the last time i did it. See if i go and arrange things, because i'm in the same boat as you, no room for SPS, i'll start moving things, break corals and have even more SPS to scatter around. I didn't have the room to begin with!
