Anyone have or use a Magnum 350??

Need alittle help. Just got a Magnum 350 and I dont think its working right. I fill it up to the top and close the lid and snap it shut. As soon as I turn it on the impeller kicks in and the water level drops about 1 to 2 inches and the intake is causing bubbles to splash in side of the canister. I dont know if it suppose to work that way but when I went to the LPS their was running and didnt even see bubbles in theirs. All my Gaskets, O-Rings are on and nothing is leaking, what am I doing wrong?

not a problem. you did not burb it. turn everything off. diconnect it. drain off water until the line you see about 3/4 way up.. seal and close it.
hook lines back up. hope you have the quick disconnect.. make life alt easyier to clean it...
turn it on. wait say 15 seconds. turn off. wait 30 seconds.. it will purge air out of it self.. turn back on. you shoudl be good to go now. if you still get some bubble burb it again.9 turn on/off).
HTH..
i do have two 350's

Think you are alright,,,,depends on what media you are using also,,,micron/diatom filter use will cause a lil drop in canister,,
If you are using the filter with no diatom powder added (w/ micron filter) try turning off the Magnum a few times, this might expell some of the extra air inside.
You have to make sure that the intake/output hoses are fairly vertical, a droop in a hose will not allow the air to get out of the canister .
It is normal, at least when i use a Magnum 350 , to see a lil drop in the canister level. As long as you allow the air a way to get out, and you have good flow out of the filter, you should be OK
