Anyone have MJ Skimmer adapter?
Ok, I was gonna put my Mj1200 on my CPR backpack to replace the old rio. Well the Mj1200 didnt come with the little cone deal where the air inlet goes to. Neithe rof them did for that matter. Does anyone have any of these laying around? Someone not running them on a skimmer I hope? lol. My LFS said ID have to buy a whole new unit, but Im not about to go that route...

I think you can buy the venturi kit for the MJ to make it work on a skimmer,... I don't remember where, but it's only a few bucks if I recall correctally.

yes its a bioball. its cut in half.. and then sized down to fit in the impellar housing of a MJ1200. takes maybe 15 minutes to make one after you make a couple.. to fit it to the impellar shaft.. you just take the stock impellar off and then you may need to drill out the center of the bioball to slide it tightly on where the old impellar was. with this mod my sea-clone skimmer actually works good. I know alot of people will say .. "yeah.. whatever its still a seaclone and cannot possibly made to work good" but I have to admit I am impressed with the amount of foam and skimmate I get from this thing in one day. I run it with NO valve on the venturi tube just straight open all the air it can get from the open tube.. and I dont have any problems with microbubbles going into my tank.. also will point out my sea-clone is stock on all other aspects I have done none of the tube cutting mods. I have never had a BakPak skimmer so cannot say how this needle wheel works on them.. but I would bet it no doubt would improve it.
I had a few extras made up.. but only one person was interested in them.. so I gave em all to that person in trade for some chromis.
