anyone have an asm g1?

Just got my ASM G1 with Sedra 2500 pump in the mail this morning. In all the pictures of this skimmer, it shows an elbow going from the pump up to the skimmer. Mine didn't come with that....anyone know, am I supposed to just insert the pump output directly into the skimmer? or am I missing a part? or doesn't it matter? it didn't come with instructions ;-)

I believe in the newest of the small ASM models the pump does mount directly into the skimmer body.
