Can you even get them yet? I've only seen pre-orders.

thats all that shows, i guess your right, i figured it meant you had to pay for it before they would order, if every company would start making something like that, that would be awesome, looks very cool though.

Ive seen video of them in action and it looks like they can really move some water. You can also get a controller for them and run many with a alternating action I believe. they are spendy but a great idea! No electricity in tank, no drilling, movable and dont take up as much room as say a Tunze.

The only problem I see with them is the flow direction. There does not seem to be away to direct the flow. Sure you can move them around the glass. But... I like to place my powerheads in the back corners and aim them at the opposite front corner. I don't see an easy way to do this with these.

Thats true but, a power head has a concentrated "cone" of flow. This can be damaging to coral. The magnetics pumps shown have a wider flow pattern, they move a ton of water but its spread over a wider are and this is better for critters and more efficient. Power heads really dont compare based on what Ive seen in video.

My seios are pretty wide in flow. i still like being able to direct them to get the bouncing effect. It makes for much more chaotic flow. i am looking forward to and waiting on the new tunze nanostreams. Finally a tunze stream that can be used in smaller tanks.

Looks good at first but too many moving parts. What is wrong with a conventional rotating magnetic field that drives one rotating part such as in the Mag pumps. Some real nerd will calculate the mechanical efficiency of an offset magnet not in the middle of the field, but what do I know?

As an engineer that is versed a teeny bit both mechanically and electrically I know it is way too easy to overengineer things.

Be the first on the block to get one but why?
