I just put him in a container, pour maybe a shots worth of tank water in there every 5-10 minutes. then put him in at about an hour. I have to say.......he almost looks a little big for my tank. Which makes me sad, I wouldnt want to be cramped, why would he? haha. I was kinda hoping my lfs would get a small one, but no biggie. If he doesnt work out ill give him to a fellow reefer locally. Id rather the anthias be comfy then stressed in my tank.

Yep, not the best choice for your size tank. They can reach 6 to 7inches and will require a good deal more food than the smaller species.

Thats what Justin was tellin me......after I bought it of course, haha. Hes not coming from behind the rocks. He will come out, but as soon as you go to the tank, he goes right back in. I cant even get a picture. I dont know how in the world i will ever catch him if I decide to give him back or to someone else.

How is the fish doing ? How big is your tank. Depending on how big your tank is and how much rock you have it could be very hard for you to catch a fish. I have a 110 gallon tank with 150lbs or live rock and it took me 6 months to catch 2 of the three Damsels i have in there. I made a trap with a soda bottle and i got 2 of them and just gave up and my third one is still alive and i guess he's just going to stay in until i move the tank. Your Anthias will definately be too big to use my soda bottle trick but i think it should be ok in your tank though. Or maybe you could upgrade and get a bigger one in the future if that's a possibility for you.

I cought him, but I had to remove half my rock. Now I have a Bartletts Anthias and hes a LOT better. A lot smaller and a lot more fun to watch.
