Angels and SPS?
Ive realy started to like angles. I know that for the most part they are not reef safe. Is this for most coral or what? I am going to be doing SPS and was wondering if any of them would leave SPS alone.

What kind of Angels Robert?
The Centropyge species, flame, coral beauty etc, the smaller angels ar iffy with soft coral and polyps, like green stars, etc, but I think they are not so bad with sticks.
The larger angels, Pomacanthus species are primarily sponge feeders but can decimate soft coral and SPS populations if they take a notion, as well as getting large enough that a 150 is minimal.
The swaloowtail angels, (gemniocanthus?) are considered the most reef friendly as they are primarioly planktivores as I recall

Centropyge would be fine, but it's 50/50 like always. I'd say no, since they would be impossible to remove without reaquascaping.

Doug , I also love to find an angel that hads all the beauty and can be keep in a reef with very little chance that they will pick at my corals.

I agree with Doug, it would depend on species and the individual fish.
I have seen several nice SPS tanks here in Oz with large pomacanthus sp angels in them, usually P. imperator (Emporer Angel) or P. navarchus ( Majestic Angel) but i do agree it would be risky. Another guy i know now has a
P. Xanthometopon (blue faced angel) that is now in his FOWLR, after 3yrs in his system it decided to eat all his maxima and crocea clams never touched his SPS though, pretty fish- very destructive!
I think from memory gregt has a P. Paru in his 300gal with no troubles at all, he posted some nice pics a while back.
I think it would be risky, but i would try it (i love angels) but it's up to you, maybe the centrogype sp. would be better.

Thats always an option for some, but even aquiring somes coral beauty or flame that never bothered anything is no guareentee, Lemonpeels are usually not bad, given room and food, C argi is almost always OK, but its the dwarf angel.
If you are attracted to the common large angels, ie, French, Queen,Koran, Imperator, etc, feeding is always an issue and space even more so. I think spanky has a queen and a french in his tank, but its like 10' long
Personally my Holy Grail has always been an Imperator and a Sohal Tang, but I wouldnt attempt either in less than a 240

I also like alot of the wrasses, so its looking like a second tank is a must. Dang it. I realy hate that, gonna have to design a new system! Maybe Ill just make the 150 the FOWLR and get a second tank thats, lets say just a smidge, bigger (Ohhhhhhhh Yeahhhhhhhhh!) for a reef!!! I realy love a hobby that demands you do more!! I just have to do it, you know I do! Theres just no physical way foir me to avoid it, it HAS to be done. Dont you all agree with me?
