Angel Eating Coral

Does any one know how to stop an angel from eating coral. I just bought a bicolor angel and a hermit crab. I have had two other hermit crabs before and none of them have eaten my coral. So I think its the angel. Although I have never seen the angel eat it, I have seen him pick at it a couple of times. The coral I have is a green star polyp. Any help will be apreciated. Thanx

alas that nasty reality thing creeps in, most Centropyge angels will munch polyps, and most of the larger genus will though they have high sponge appetites Of the dwarf species C. argi is probably the most reef friendly, tho no guarentees

nhilcrest: ANY angelfish addition to a reeftank is a risky move. Each individual is different, with differing "tastes".Once settled into your tank, the fishes tastes may change.Don't give up hope on the fish because of the loss of some GSP's! I added a chaetodontoplus mesoleucos {Singapore angel}to my 220 gallon reef 3 years ago.It ate an $80 red cynarina before going after my PRICELESS 7 year old table acropora. The acropora and fish still reside peacefully in my reetank today, after the fish was successfully weaned to take prepared foods. The bicolor angelfish is a BEAUTIFUL fish! Maybe the star polyps were not eaten, but just closed up from a disturbance.
