anenomes

We just bought an anenome yesterday, and it has already started to shrivel up. They told us at the pet store that it would shrivel when it was expelling old water and taking in new water. It has almost been a day and it hasn't blossomed back. How long does this process take and could it be dead already and how to tell. PLease help majorly

Anenomes require really high quality water. Have you tested your water to make sure everything is looking good? Also how long has your tank been setup. As a general rule its recommended not to add one until its been up for 6 months to make sure it is stable.

You'll notice when the anemone is starting to die. It looks as if it were decaying. The mouth of the anemone begins to come out and bubble up. One of my anemones shriveled up for a couple days and came back to normal out of no where. But did you guys acclimate the anemone? And for how long?

Welcome to TRT!

Yes, the specification would be nice; or a picture.

I can guarantee it's not dead at the moment. But anemones are one of the hardest things to keep alive so recommend a lot of reading.
