anemone regeneration?

I came down today to find my Long-Tentacle Anemone stuck to my micro-pump powerhead, and it wasn't the good end. Half of his tentacles are strewn about the tank. After removing him from the PH he is opening up somewhat, but one side of his mantle is shredded. Will he repair himself or is he screwed?

If you leave him be, he should be okay. He will repair himself. One time, my anenome also got to close to the intake on my filter... His side was torn open and I could actaully see inside him. I felt so bad. Well, he fully healed, and the little chunk that was torn off him...it became a new anenome itself! So, I got two out of the deal, but I still felt bad. Make sure you offer him some food so he doesn't have to work so hard on getting fed.

Just had the same thing happen. I was about to flush the anemone but decided to put in my refugium see what would happen. Lo and behold I have a nearly full grown anemone again in less than two weeks. Good luck. (I target fed it now and then as well...)
