Question

Anemone ID

I have had 2 of these in my tank for 4 months or so and now I have 3! I am planning on selling one or two of them but I'm not sure how much to ask for it. It was sold to me included in a package deal (I bought a lot of stuff)
The guy i got it from said it was a BTA but i have only seen it "bubble" once and it wasn't very much. I also have not seen any other ones like it, the tips are white and i didn't think the common bta had these.
heres some pics:

basically im just wondering what to call it and a price range to sell/trade it.

Sometimes they don't do the little bubble tip thing so it still could be a BTA. Your clownfish looks happy in there. Are you selling them together?

Around here a Rose BTA sells for anywhere from 59- 99 dollars depending on the size. That is from a LFS. So people who are buying from a fellow hobbyist are obviously looking for a deal. For a decent size one I would say 40.00 should get you some lookers!

And I would like to qualify that answer by saying it is for a true Rose BTA.

not sure on species but I would think $40 is fair, how big and how long have you had it?

the guy i got it from had it for 4 years and it split about a year and a half ago. I have had them personally for 4-6 months, feed @ least 2 times a week, shrimp/krill/scallop etc
they were both about 12+" and have not come out of the rocks all the way yet but my guess is about 5"

this is not a rose, looks just like it does in the 2nd two pics under normal lighting. it does have a very small amount of green on it on a few of the "tenicals"

its brown/tan like the 2nd and 3rd pics with white tips. no red on it. i saw the smallest amount of green like 1/4 of a dime on one but not the other so it really doesnt have any green either. just plain but the white tips are kinds unique???

never had an anemone split before, is this normal??????????

the anemone looks great but looks like "smoke" or a semi-opaque liquid is coming off of it.... also will not take food.

Splitting is one way they can reproduce

It sounds like the "smoking" is the OTHER form of going sexual
Lots of anemone activity tonight!

the anemone looks great but looks like "smoke" or a semi-opaque liquid is coming off of it.... also will not take food. If it is smoking from the mouth, it is most likely spawning/releasing sperm. If it is smoking from the entire oral disk, it is most likely a reaction to intense lighting.

It looks like a long tentacle anemone to me (coloring, etc).

Here's a pic of our's.
