Anemone help--what should we do?

We have two BTAs (we wanted one, but bought two because they were both firmly attached to the same rock). We've had them for about 2 1/2 months.

One is doing really well--good color and our clown is hosting it.

The other is not doing well. It hides behind all the rock, rarely comes out, is rarely open and when it is open, its color is very bleached.

We can feed it because it won't come out. This morning, it's all closed up on the sand bed and I think we could remove it. I am wondering if the best thing to do would be to take it out and bring it to our LFS and see what they can do with it. I am worried it's going to die and contaminate our tank.

What would you do? Is there any hope to save it?

Well if it was me , I would look at it for a day or two, if it is attached to the bottom glass it might just want to move, if it is looking like it is melting get rid of it, You will be able to tell when it start to die. Without seeing a picture , I can't really say for sure what I think about the health

I would separate it and maybe quarantine and nurse it back to health. Or take it back for credit if you dont need 2 anyways.

It doesn't look like it's attached to the glass--it looks like it's just sitting on the sand bed.

We don't have a quarantine tank, so we'd have to take it to the LFS for that. I'm starting to think that would be best.

It may be the best thing if you don't want it and they will give you credit or cash back,

You can buy one of those breeder hang on things and put the anemone in there and bring it back.

my bubbletip has been doing this for weeks.. i kept picking her back up and putting her on her rock... yesterday i decided to leave her alone.. shes sitting on the sand between 2 rocks bloomed out.. i fed her for the first time in over a week.. (she wouldn't open up when i was around and couldn't).. seems to be fine..

mine also hid behind the rock between he rock and class for several days.. then i found her on her rock.. then i found her back in the same spot muched between the rock and glass.. several days later she was infront of the rock..

look at her one moment she looks dead.. the next time she is fully bloomed and beautifull..

it will be easiest to remove now since it isn't attached. and like the saying goes, if nothing changes then nothing changes - in other words I doubt it will suddenly spring back to life after months of decline. sorry to hear about that.
