does that mean once every 4 or 5 days
or does it mean for 4-5 days a week that is what they get each day?

if it is feeding once every 4 days then that should be fine maybe do it to 3 days if youwanted too but keep an eye on the skimmer adn the amount of waste the make

I feed the San Fransico Bay brand and mix it up day to day. Note these are the smaller version cubes about 8 per row:
-muscles
-omega 3 Brine Shrimp
-plankton,
-mysid shrimp,
-emerald entre,
-marine cusine

I feed ~ 3 cubes 4 or 5 days each week. So some weeks they get feed 3 cubes 5 days in that week others they get feed 3 cubes 4 days out of the week.

Make sense.

IMO... thats great amount!!! yes, it may make problems when you think about algae (nuicance types) and things like that...

but, OTOH, I have seahorses, so I feed that much daily. in mysis shrimp. if you have a good skimmer, it should take out the excess fairly easily, and make sure your cleanup crew is in good numbers.
reefs aren't sterile, fish eat daily on the reefs, so do corals, and other animals. SOOO, I'm all for feeding decent amounts as long as you can handle water changes, and the amounts of nutrients in the system.

I have a good cleanup crew. Decent skimmer but will be upgrading to an awesome on soon.

I usually spread the feeding over 30 minutes. Sprinkle a little ....gobble gobble, sprinkle a little more....gobble gobble....etc.. So I try not to get a ton floating away!

that is a way too great amount i belive,
you can cut down to feeding every few days...
with the sea horses i know they require alot more feeding time and a lot more often.

I don't use cubes anymore, I buy the sheets. I have a few more fish than you, but this is how I feed. 1" X 1/2 X 1/2 chunk every other day, on the off day I give the tangs dried seaweed and feed the corals late at night with a syringe (some fish wake up and get a little). Once a month I make a batch of live brine too. Once a week three drops of phytomax and 5 drops of zoomax. I feed the lobster fresh scallop pieces by hand every other day.

Cool i was looking to cut down the food actually. I will go to 2 cubes 4 days a week.

Thanks, just didn't want to starve the bugars. Don't need them really to grow.

yeah, its mostly opinions on how people feed.

when i was running a reef tank, I fed daily cyclopeeze mixed with shrimp, squid, yummy stuff. once a day, but only enough to feed. 5 minutes, and it was gone. sometimes more for the corals, stuff like that. just kinda depended on how I felt.
