Algae + purigen

Ive got some green algae growing - whats the best way to remove it?

I also have a Seachem Purigen that i was advised by my LFS to use a filtration.

It says use one bag for each 400l. My tanks is 180l, is it ok or should i have bought a smaller bag?

thanks

Well, what kind of algae do you have - the long green hair kind? Purigen is a good product and can be recharged. Better, IMO, than carbon.

Carbon and floss only remove things. Alot of it can change the water clarity enoughp to change the amount of lighting that the corals receive and thats what matters when adding or changing out carbon ,the lighting shock some corals can get :-)

What kind of algae?
Not sure, most of it resembles small pieces of cotton wool - fluffy?

Paul:
I have 1 soft coral at the moment - had it 2 days. - will the lighting effect this? The water is clear (to me) I just thought by adding purigen it will make things better? yes/no?
